Helen has been with Vertus for more than 20 years. Her extensive experience and expertise are instrumental in helping the company to develop and manage important client benefit team partnerships. Over the course of her career she has gained more than 25 years’ experience in benefit consulting with client groups of all sizes, including Fortune 500 clients.

Helen’s comprehensive knowledge of the benefits industry and insightful understanding of client needs make her a leader in project management for a number of significant clients. Her services efficiently develop and administer competitive employee benefit plans for client employees. Helen’s work includes analyzing and interpreting healthcare reform and its impact on specific clients, strategic benefit planning and cost analysis, network evaluation, renewal negotiations, vendor selection, contribution rate setting and strategy. In addition, she is experienced in the implementation and administration of group benefit plans, HIPAA compliance, FMLA, and COBRA administration.

Prior to joining Vertus, Helen was a Senior Managing Consultant for more than nine years with Aon Consulting, a subsidiary of Aon Corporation in Chicago. At Aon, Helen served as the managing consultant for several Fortune 500 clients.

Helen comes from a large family of 11 children. She lives with her husband in Manteno and together they have a grown son and daughter. Helen enjoys spending time with her family, camping, fishing and being outdoors.
